Maple brownies

Ingredients

  • 90g (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp) flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 300g (1 cup) hazelnut spread (Nutella type)
  • 150g (1/2 cup) Brix 66 maple syrup
  • 114g (1/2 cup) softened butter
  • 100g (1/2 cup) Brix 66 maple caramel

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven at 350F, butter the muffin pan.
  • In a bowl, mix the flour and salt, reserve.
  • In a large bowl, mix the hazelnut spread and maple syrup until homogenous.
  • Add the eggs one at a time and mix.
  • Add the softened butter and mix.
  • Add the flour mix (do not stir too much).
  • Spread in each muffin mould and cook in the oven for about 14 minutes, to then let cool down.
  • Heat the caramel for a few seconds in the microwave.
  • Serve in a plate with a scoop of ice cream and dripping caramel.

Suggestions

Can be frozen. Spread on a cooking sheet and put in the freezer. Once they are frozen, put in a sealed container, so they can be consumed one at a time.

Can also be cooked in an 8-inch square pan, but put in the oven for about 30 minutes.
