Maple brownies
Ingredients
- 90g (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp) flour
- A pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 300g (1 cup) hazelnut spread (Nutella type)
- 150g (1/2 cup) Brix 66 maple syrup
- 114g (1/2 cup) softened butter
- 100g (1/2 cup) Brix 66 maple caramel
Preparation
- Preheat the oven at 350F, butter the muffin pan.
- In a bowl, mix the flour and salt, reserve.
- In a large bowl, mix the hazelnut spread and maple syrup until homogenous.
- Add the eggs one at a time and mix.
- Add the softened butter and mix.
- Add the flour mix (do not stir too much).
- Spread in each muffin mould and cook in the oven for about 14 minutes, to then let cool down.
- Heat the caramel for a few seconds in the microwave.
- Serve in a plate with a scoop of ice cream and dripping caramel.
Suggestions
Can be frozen. Spread on a cooking sheet and put in the freezer. Once they are frozen, put in a sealed container, so they can be consumed one at a time.
Can also be cooked in an 8-inch square pan, but put in the oven for about 30 minutes.
